AirScan™ iRF9
Diffusion Design Sensor
Manning Systems new industrial quality AirScan™ iRF9 gas sensor is very selective to refrigerants and, because of its stabilized design platform, will provide years of service and maintain the highest level of accuracy and reliability. Manning Systems new SensorCheck™ technology gives the advantage of continually monitoring sensor performance parameters. The AirScan™ iRF9 senses and rapidly responds to refrigerants over the range of 0-3,000 ppm and provides a linear output of 4/20 mA as a function of refrigerant concentration.
General Description
The AirScan™ iRF9 is a true "diffusion" design sensor that does not require either pumps or filters and allows all points of detection to be monitored continuously, unlike sample draw systems. The unique features of its internal reference channel compensate for dust particles, source degradation, humidity and temperature fluctuation, food odors, chemical cleaners, etc. This means that years of use will not diminish the performance of Manning Systems AirScan™ iRF9 refrigerant sensor.
A solid high-mass metal bench provides structural and thermal stability, greater immunity to vibration, as well as superior EMI/RFI shielding of the detector and source. Manning Systems patented ATMOS equipped® enclosures allow the AirScan™ iRF9 to automatically adapt to harsh environments, including extreme temperature and humidity changes. The rugged industrial design in the NEMA 4 steel enclosure outputs a linear 4/20 mA signal that can be monitored either by Manning Systems readout/alarm units or a PLC with analog input.
AirScan™ iRF9 can be calibrated to monitor R-22, R-134a, R-404a, R-407a, R-410a, R422d, R-507, NH3, and CO2. Standard ranges for the AirScan™ iRF9 are as follows:
- R Gases: 0-500ppm, 0-1,000ppm, and 0-3,000 ppm
- NH3: 0-2% PPM, 0-4% ppm
- C02: 0-1% PPM, 0-3% ppm
Monitor one to 96 sensors from a single controller
All Manning Systems sensors can be monitored by the GM-JR single channel gas monitor or the HA20, HA40 or HA71 multi-channel gas safety systems that provide an individual bar graph display of gas concentration for each channel, plus relay outputs for emergency response and ventilation control.
The new AirAlert™ 96d multi-channel gas monitoring system adds addressable RS-485 Modbus communication protocol to the broad line of Manning Systems readout/alarm units. A total of 96 gas sensors and relay modules can be linked to a single controller.
