Gas Monitor Readout/Alarm

The Manning Systems GM-1 was developed in response to the demand for a rugged, long-life single point readout/alarm unit to support Manning Systems' complete line of sensors. It allows remote sensor monitoring for up to 1500' while providing operating power to the sensor.

The GM-1 is an integral part of MPSS, the Manning Primary Safety System. MPSS is a total, turnkey solution for the detection of toxic gas leaks showing gas safety status of an entire industrial facility at a single glance.

General Description

The GM-1 is housed in a rugged 14 gauge gasketed steel enclosure. Behind the clear plexiglass window is a 20-segment vertical LED bargraph display that has a replaceable calibrated scale. The adjustable Warn and Alarm trip levels are tied to corresponding relay outputs to trigger fans, solenoid cut off, electrical shunt or other control functions.

All lights are LEDs for long life. The unit incorporates an audible horn, fail-safe design, fault circuitry with fault LED and dedicated fault relay. In addition, the monitor has a power-up delay feature that places all outputs in normal conditions for one minute to allow for sensor stabilization.

The GM-1 will support all of Manning Systems' sensors, including an oxygen monitor with the required down-scale alarm.

The "C" and "US" indicator adjacent to the CSA Mark signifies that the product has been evaluated to the applicable ANSI/UL and CSA Standards for use in the U.S. and Canada. This includes products eligible to bear the NRTL indicator. NRTL, i.e. Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory, is a designation granted by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to laboratories which have been recognized to perform certification to U.S. Standards.
