Calibration Kit

Manning Systems provides gas sensor calibration kits using the highest quality certified gas standards. Many gases and ranges are kept in stock and special mixtures are available on request.

The standard calibration kit contains two 17 liter cylinders, a calibration adapter, flow meter, valve assembly and length of tubing in a handy carrying case. After the initial purchase of a kit, replacement bottles can be ordered on an "as needed" basis.

The lightweight, foam-filled carrying case protects two disposable cylinders and accessory items in an easily carried design making it portable to any jobsite or field calibration location. (Transport of calibration gas is governed by D.O.T. hazardous materials regulations.)

All Manning Systems calibration gas standards are traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology ) and analysis data is available on request. Under normal conditions Manning Systems sensors should be calibrated with certified calibration gas a minimum of every six months. More frequent calibration may be required by local codes or insurance carriers in areas that are considered "highly critical".

Factory calibration and re-certification service is available from Manning Systems for all Manning portable gas sensors. Simply call us for an RMA number and return the unit to us for checkout. Because we understand the importance of safety equipment in your day-to-day operations, turnaround time is usually only a day or two. We'll call you if replacement parts are needed. Your portable gas sensor will be returned to you with a Certificate of Calibration for your safety records.

NOTES: Special mixtures may have shorter life spans. Discuss with Manning Systems when ordering.

Calibration gas should be stored in a cool area, 65° F / 75° F for stated life.

All calibration gas must be shipped under D.O.T. "Hazardous Gas" regulations. Special hazardous shipping charges will apply for all shipments.

Ordering Information

Please specify each component by chemical name and symbol.

Required information includes: number and range of sensors to be calibrated, whether zero reference gas will be required (i.e., in situations where some target [span] gas is always present), date of anticipated calibration schedule, shipping requirements. Customer should request shipment to the ultimate point of use as trans-shipment of gas cylinders must adhere to D.O.T. shipping regulations.

NOTE: Exact ppm standards available will vary within analysis tolerance levels.

IMPORTANT: All cylinders of gas are labeled, packaged and shipped according to D.O.T. requirements and industry standards. Personnel handling compressed gases should be familiar with the potential hazards before using the gas. In addition to the chemical hazards of compressed gases, hazards accompanying high pressure and low temperature may also be present due to the physical state of the gas.
