Overview
Manning Systems gas-selective sensors offer a unique opportunity to enhance the safety and profitability of almost any refrigerated facility by triggering cut-off valves at the earliest possible moment in the event of an ammonia or other gas leak.
By monitoring the status of all sensors in a plant continuously, the multi-channel GM-10 or GM-4 equipped with a Relay Output Board can identify a refrigerant leak in any area at its earliest stages and quickly cut off the liquid feed to that particular room. This quick action can minimize the potential for harm to personnel or product and limit refrigerant loss.
The new AirAlert 96d multi-channel gas monitoring system adds addressable RS-485 Modbus communication protocol to the broad line of Manning Systems readout/alarm units. A total of 96 gas sensors and relay modules can be linked to a single controller.
Manning Systems gas-specific technologies allow the plant operator peace of mind in knowing that the "first step" preventative action can minimize the potential for damage without causing greater problems from accidental shutdown triggered by a nuisance trip.
This type of action can be implemented at virtually any trip level and for a broad range of gases by using electrochemical or infrared sensor technology that give long-term stable sensor performance and eliminate the potential for false alarms.
