Overview
The VL Vent Line Gas Sensor, complete with mounting kit, operates by being directly welded into the relief line piping to give almost instantaneous response upon release of ammonia or many other refrigerant gases.
Special fittings for mounting the sensor are provided to assure optimal performance for a relief vented either to atmosphere or a water dump tank. Please discuss with Manning Systems the details of all vent line sensor applications.
The vent line sensor can be monitored by any Manning Systems readout or send a linear 4/20 mA signal directly to a PLC.
Vent line sensing offers a line of protection to help identify a leak and give early warning for implementation of precedures to contain a refrigerant or ammonia release.

All Manning Systems sensors can be monitored by the GM-1 single channel gas monitor or the GM-10 or GM-4 multi-channel gas safety systems that provide an individual bargraph display of gas concentration for each channel, plus relay outputs for emergency response and ventilation control.
The new AirAlert 96d multi-channel gas monitoring system adds addressable RS-485 Modbus communication protocol to the broad line of Manning Systems readout/alarm units. A total of 96 gas sensors and relay modules can be linked to a single controller.
