Manning Systems has excellent, reliable gas sensing safety equipment to monitor exhaust levels in parking garages. This is usually a simple application, especially when fan control and ventilation are the reasons for sensing.

Solid-state sensors are economical and reliable for many years in the protected environment of a parking garage. The broad-spectrum solid-state sensor will monitor carbon monoxide levels, as well as other contaminants that may be present in the air. The combination of a linear solid-state sensor and internal relay plug is an extremely cost-effective way to trigger ventilation controls and greatly increase the safety and comfort of garage patrons.

If "gas specific" monitoring is required, the EC-CO electrochemical sensor specifically senses carbon monoxide and won't trip in the presence of other gases.

If most vehicles are diesel powered, the AirScan™ iCO2 infrared carbon dioxide detector without moving parts (i.e., no pumps or filters to replace) will operate with minimal maintenance for many years. Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) levels can also be monitored to indicate exhaust build-up.

Manning Systems can supply a single point gas sensor system, four channel system, or multi-channel unit that monitors as many as ten sensors at a single master safety control panel.

All readouts have relay outputs to notify security personnel, activate fans, shut off valves or refrigeration equipment, etc. Sensors give a linear 4/20 mA output and can tie directly to a PLC or building control system.

The new AirAlert™ 96d multi-channel gas monitoring system adds addressable RS-485 Modbus communication protocol to the broad line of Manning Systems readout/alarm units. A total of 96 gas sensors and relay modules can be linked to a single controller.
