Indoor Air Quality

IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) is a particular concern as "sick building syndrome" becomes more common in "sealed" buildings. Without adequate ventilation in office buildings, carbon dioxide levels rise because of exhaled CO₂. Manning Systems AirScan™ iCO₂ sensors are gas specific to allow sensing of the target gas, even in the presence of other "interference" gases.

Copy machines produce high levels of ozone and, for personnel safety, care should be taken to prevent excessive O₃ build-up. The EC selectively monitors ozone in the low ppm levels.

Most IAQ gas detection problems can be resolved by using either infrared or electrochemical technology to specifically identify hazards and initiate safety procedures.

Manning Systems can supply a single point gas sensor system, four channel system, or multi-channel unit that monitors as many as ten sensors at a single master safety control panel.

All readouts have relay outputs to notify security personnel, activate fans, shut off valves or refrigeration equipment, etc. Sensors give a linear 4/20 mA output and can tie directly to a PLC or building control system.
