Manning Systems
Chemical Plants

Overview

Application of gas sensors in chemical plants is too broad to discuss even in the most general terms. However, Gases and Sensor Technology Reference provides information on many of the gases, sensors and technologies that Manning Systems provides. Sensors can be equipped with ATMOS technology to withstand wide swings in temperature and RH levels and are extremely rugged, reliable and stable, requiring minimal maintenance. Please call to discuss individual gas safety equipment applications.

Electrochemical sensor technology offers "gas specific" monitoring for a long list of gases in a choice of ranges including ammonia, bromine, carbon monoxide, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen sulfide, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, oxygen, ozone, sulfur dioxide, and others. The CGT in explosion proof housing monitors many combustible gases to the % LEL level.

Output from Manning Systems readouts in either single input or multi-channel design can be monitored by other plant operation control systems, but the redundancy provided by a "stand-alone gas detection system" gives an extra measure of safety and reliability.

The new AirAlert™ 96d multi-channel gas monitoring system adds addressable RS-485 Modbus communication protocol to the broad line of Manning Systems readout/alarm units. A total of 96 gas sensors and relay modules can be linked to a single controller.

Manning Systems offers personal protection portables for the single- and multi-sensor toxic gas detector market. These innovative, low-cost portables are ideal for industrial hygienists, safety managers, petrochemical applications, fire departments, police and emergency responders at risk of exposure to toxic contaminants.
