Battery Charging Rooms

In many plants as a safety precaution, ventilation fans run continuously around battery chargers to prevent a build-up of potentially explosive gases.

A hydrogen gas sensor placed in the room can trigger an exhaust fan to run only when needed, keeping gas concentrations below pre-determined levels. Built-in time delay relays in the readout units prevent short cycling of fans. The EC, CGT, or linear LSS are gas sensor choices depending on the application and performance requirements.

Multiple relays trigger key emergency safety control of equipment shutdown functions and allow Emergency Responders to easily assess an ammonia or other gas leak situation - even in the event of computer viruses, operating system crashes or human error.
